Ischia: A volcanic treasure

It was my first time in Ischia, even though I have family who have lived there all their lives–some of which I had never met before. When my boyfriend suggested that we visit the island this summer, I did not expect much more than being given the opportunity to visit family and spend a day at the beach. Consequently, we ended up only planning to stay two days, which I really regretted as the Island has a lot more to offer than it seems on first glance. At the very least, I know that I will have a reason to return, and future opportunities for these familial connections to flourish.

Ischia, the beautiful contrast between sea and mountain; the breathtaking blend between the wild and cultivated.
